Bruce, Billy Team Up For Barack
Bruce Springsteen will team up with Billy Joel for a New York City concert to raise money for Barack Obama's Presidential campaign.

Just days after announcing that he'll be playing Superbowl XLIII in Tampa, comes word that Bruce Springsteen will team up with another hero of the tri-state area, Billy Joel to help get their pick elected. On Tuesday, September 30, Obama donors were informed that Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel will join the Democratic nominee for his "last event in the Tri-State region before the election," at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. It's billed as "Change Rocks".
Obama plans to attend the concert, the day after his final debate with Republican John McCain at Hofstra University, located in Hempstead, N.Y.
"Please join us the evening of Thursday, October 16th for a very special concert with Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and other exciting guests! This is the first time that Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen will play the same concert!" The invitation read.
The invitation was incorrect on that last point, however. Below is a clip from 1987...
Balcony tickets will go for $500, "premiere" seats cost $2,500 per person, and lounge tickets go for $10,000.
Obama's campaign announced late yesterday afternoon that Springsteen will play a free rally in Philadelphia for students and Pennsylvania residents as well. Also, on October 13th, The Dead and the Allman Brothers Band will play for the Democratic presidential candidate in State College, Pennsylvania.
