December 9, 2003: Chris Farrell walks among the crosses and memorials at the site of the Station Nightclub fire where his uncle (Tommy Barnett) died. He and family members were briefly at the site to light candles and remember their relative and some of his friends.

5 years ago at a cool rock bar in West Warwick, Rhode Island thousands squeezed in to hear Great White play and ended the night either dead, burned or mentally scarred for life when the band's pyrotechnics ignited a massive fire.

The fire at the Station Nightclub took 100 lives and injured 200 more. 65 children lost one or more parents. Parents lost children...

Many of the injured had no health insurance and social security has stopped paying them benefits. They are in a bad way - still suffering the effects of being badly burned, disabled and unable to work. They need help.

VH1 partnered up with musicians like Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, country's Gretchen Wilson and Poison frontman Bret Michaels, who lost 4 friends that night, to film a concert that would hopefully generate funds for those in need. Aftermath: The Station Fire Five Years Later aired in March and will hopefully air in reruns. Watch for it on VH1 and VH1 Classic.

"The music industry has to help its fans," Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider bellows, as he emcees a benefit concert for fire survivors and victims' families. "We have to take care of our own."
